Baby Sensory, the multi-award winning programme for babies from birth to 13 months. If you are looking for an exciting, sociable weekly class which will be fun for you and your baby AND will help with your baby’s development this is the class for you!

WHAT TO EXPECT?

In the classes you can expect light shows, puppets, bubbles, exercise, musical fun, baby signing, massage, parachutes and much more! Classes are an hour long with a mixture of structured sensory activities as well as developmental play time giving parents a chance to chat and meet new friends. Every week is different, usually with a theme, so you and your baby can have a whole year of exciting and new activities to look forward to each week.  Each activity is designed to support learning and development in some way, while also having fun!

What makes Baby Sensory unique is that every activity has been carefully designed to stimulate your baby’s senses as well as baby’s cognitive and physical development. Behind every Baby Sensory session, there’s an incredibly detailed lesson plan backing up everything your baby touches, sees, hears, smells and feels. It provides ideas for creative play, massage, tummy time, movement, visual development, textures, scents and music in simple practical ways that can be easily repeated at home. We also use a combination of original and traditional songs and rhymes to develop early speech and language skills, and sensory signing activities to help you and your baby communicate from birth.

Why attend one of our award-winning Baby Sensory classes?

  • An educational, interactive and developmental programme, which will help your baby learn and develop important skills.
  • Every class has been carefully designed, planned and researched by Dr Lin Day with you and your baby’s needs in mind.
  • Classes built on your baby’s natural play-rest-play cycle to ensure they are not overstimulated.
  • An ideal place to meet new parents, ask questions, share ideas, experiences and memories together.
  • Highly trained Class Leaders who are all DBS checked.
  • Received the Gold Award accreditation with the Children’s Activities Association (CAA) – peace of mind for parents.

Hello Readers,𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰 𝗜𝘀𝘀𝘂𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗟𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗟𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗮𝗴𝗮𝘇𝗶𝗻𝗲.Spring has finally sprung and summer fayres and festival season will soon be upon us. So, I’m excited to let you all know that Beacons Festival returns in June and we have 𝗧𝗪𝗢 𝗪𝗘𝗘𝗞𝗘𝗡𝗗 𝗧𝗜𝗖𝗞𝗘𝗧𝗦 to give away. Turn to page 16 for more information about this years Summer Solstice festival and how you can enter the competition. And for theatre goers, we have our regular 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 on page 14. There’s still time to get tickets to this months Abingdon Air & Country Show - turn to page 15 - and congratulations to our five lucky competition winners from our April competition! I know you’ll enjoy a fabulous day out! Another fun-filled family day out returning on 𝗦𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝟭𝘀𝘁 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗲 is SydenhamFayre. The long-established event, co-ordinated and run entirely by villagers, raises funds for local groups and causes, supporting schools, community organisations and facilities in the surrounding area. Last year it raised over £9,000 for local causes. The Fayre centres around the picturesque village green from 12:30pm - 4:00pm and this year visitors can enjoy live entertainment, children’s games, a dog show, vintage cars, a BBQ, the tearoom and a huge variety of stalls selling quality gifts and goodies from local producers, plus there’ll be the ever-popular Bottle Tombola, Coconut Shy, Plate Smash, Plant Sale, Bric-A-Brac, Jewellery, Vintage Clothing and Tarot reader. Something else I wanted to draw attention to, after receiving a Press Release from Local home care company, Home Instead (Witney). They recently commissioned a survey of family carers and found 29% of them in Oxfordshire are at breaking point due to feeling highly stressed and isolated. It also concluded that a concerning 64% of them are neglecting their own health and well-being. As a company that supports older people in their own homes, Home Instead sees countless families in a desperate state as they seek to give their loved one the best life possible. If you are one of these people I urge you to reach out to them, or similar local organisations, to help you lighten the load. The full press release can be found on my website (here: https://shorturl.at/glvRX) along with contact information and tips that may help you and your loved ones. Until next month, enjoy reading...𝗢𝗻𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗩𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗯𝗲 𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄𝗲𝗱 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲: https://look-localmagazine.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/MAY24_Issue138_28pg_WEB.pdf....#whatsgoingoninoxfordshire #looklocalmagazine #advertiselocal #supportsmallbusinessess #smallbusinesssupport #looklocal #smallbusinessesinoxfordshire #looklocalmagazineoxfordshire #localmagazineoxfordshire #oxfordshiremagazine #localmagazine #supportlocalbusiness #supportlocalbusinesses #supportlocal ...
