Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust Charitable Fund and Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity have teamed up to launch Nightingale’s Rainbow Appeal to raise money for healthcare in Buckinghamshire.
The focal point of the appeal is the new Nightingale’s Rainbow installation planned at Stoke Mandeville Hospital in Aylesbury which is being funded by local organisations. Members of the public are being asked to sponsor Rainbow Tiles on the structure with the proceeds being shared between the two charities. With fundraising opportunities limited and an increase in the demand for services and equipment this year, the money raised by Nightingale’s Rainbow Appeal will make an amazing difference for both charities and their patients.
Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust Chief Executive, Neil Macdonald said:
“We’re delighted to be joining Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity to launch the Nightingale’s Rainbow Appeal. This year has been the one of the hardest in NHS history and the demand on our staff and services has increased dramatically. I’ve seen first-hand the generosity of the local community during the pandemic and I have no doubt that the residents of Buckinghamshire will come together to support this vital appeal.”
Rainbow Tiles can be sponsored for a donation of £20 a tile at: fnhospice.org.uk/nightingales-rainbow, where you can also find more information about the Nightingale’s Rainbow project.
