CW Soccer Schools

Welcome…

Craig WilliamsAs I write this currently sat on the beach in what has been called the ‘English Heatwave’ I’m sure you have all been engrossed in sports over this summer holidays. Whether it started with the Euros, Wimbledon or the Olympics.

This summer our courses at Chinnor Pavilion have been enjoyed by over 250 children from Stokenchurch, Chinnor, Thame, Aston Rowant, Brill and many more which is fantastic to see people from outside the village of Chinnor coming to enjoy our fantastic range of courses on offer.

Now the summer holidays have come to a close that is not the end of courses for us. October half term we once again have a week long soccer camp, as well as our continued Friday evening Soccer & Supper sessions which consist of an hour of footballing fun followed by a hot food basket for dinner – both at the Chinnor Pavilion. Over the coming months we will be introducing the CWSS Academy (more details to follow) as well as a selection of Saturday morning and weeknight sessions as well. So lots still to come from CW Soccer Schools.

TEAM GB REIGN VICTORIOUS AT RIO 2016

As I mentioned earlier this summer has been one for sport and what a fantastic few months for Team GB. Over the course of the event Team GB have broken records and made history in a number of events and as a team. With Olympic champions in tennis, golf, gymnastics, cycling and sailing – the team’s directors hailed national lottery funding and the legacy of London 2012 for the Rio gold rush. Which has seen some sports gain more funding and investment with others having to settle with what they have or lose out on money.  For a small country we certainly do ourselves proud. Just look at the Trott/Kenny relationship, between them they currently have enough medals to place 13th on the medal table – what great assets these people are to have involved in British sport!

Moving aside from the Olympics the new Football season is now underway with Premier League teams and Football League teams looking to get the season off to a good start by securing those all-important 3 points. Already we have seen some great goals, interesting results and the usual drama that comes from the top flight of the game!
